We are currently recruiting for support workers for a private learning disability care provider based in Burnham-on-sea. Supporting adults 18+ with various learning difficulties and mental health conditions.
Your role will be to ensure the residents are able to live as independent a life as possible by assisting with their every day lives when needed.
You will need to be flexible with shifts.
Shift patterns are:
- 08:00 - 22:00
- 10:00 - 22:00
- Sleep ins available
Job Requirements:
- Experience working with learning disabilities or mental health
- DBS on update service (Desirable)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Good at problem-solving and ability to make quick decisions
Key Responsibilities
- Encourage New skill development
- Attending appointments
- Providing personal care
- Enabling independence by assisting with day-to-day tasks (this may include - but not be limited to - finances, shopping, cooking, cleaning etc)
