We are working alongside a well-established organisation based in Burnley who are currently going through a re-structure and require an experienced Commercial Project Accountant to join the business and bridge the gap between commercial and financial reporting requirements.
The role will be heavily focused around budgeting and forecasting controls and variables, managing the on-going international contracts from a financial position, and provide transparency for the senior leadership team. Working alongside both financial and commercial stakeholders you will be able to integrate the numbers and interpret them for contracts to stay on track with profitability, timeframes and cost management.
Duties as Project Accountant will include: -
- Manage the expenditure across multiple contracts, monitoring cashflow and budgetary trackers.
- Continually review the on-going forecasting position to SMT, with explanation around variances.
- Work closely with project managers to control cashflow within projects and retain projected revenue targets.
- Manage the expected gross margin reporting on multiple projects in line with forecasted outcomes.
- Review and track cashflows and internal budgets for expenditure.
- Maintain tight reporting around revenue/cost/margin variances.
- Provide accurate update on variances to the leadership team, in line with actuals and stipulated contractual timeframes.
- Manage all the billing and collection of the monies on the contract; alongside the administrator, building solid relationships with the client and internal parties.
- Support with the internal and external audit process around financial evidence.
