Paying up to £50,000, plus excellent benefits, we are recruiting for a Financial Accountant within The Calico Group. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for delivering the preparation and the delivery of the Groups external financial reporting, this will involve the preparation of the Group consolidated financial statements.

THE JOB

This is a key role that will support the delivery of an effective financial accounts team, whilst ensuring a robust controlled environment that supports the delivery of the annual statutory accounts for the group of companies within Calico.

This will involve:

  • Preparation and delivery of the Groups external financial reporting
  • Ensuring that financial controls are embedded across the team
  • Control account reconciliations completed and any discrepancies investigated and resolved
  • Production of the quarterly financial returns to the RSH for review.
  • Key contact for the Groups external auditors, ensuring a smooth audit process
  • Calculation and payment of relevant taxes (VAT, Corporation Tax, CIS, PAYE etc)
  • Reviewing and preparing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Develop month end reporting information

THE PERSON

  • Experience of producing regulatory reporting and statutory accounts
  • An understanding of credit control, VAT, and other taxes
  • An ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, at all levels
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with Strong attention to detail
  • You should be ideally working towards a Professional Accountancy Qualification (or Qualified by Experience)
