We are currently recruiting for a business in Burnley who require a Financial Reporting Accountant to join the business and lead all the statutory and financial reporting compliance within the EMEA region. The business is a multi-site operation, and this role is pivotal in reporting across commercial, group reporting, operations and procurement with all cashflow requirements and overall compliance and controls.

Duties as the Financial Reporting Accountant will include:

  • Responsible for the overall month end closure process and checklist for the EMEA region.

  • Provide accurate balance sheet reviews with explanation around key variances month to month.

  • Prepare and review the monthly account reconciliations.

  • Develop a detailed reporting pack and month end timetable, improving controls and timeframes where necessary.

  • Report with better accuracy the labour, WIP and overhead reporting at month end.

  • Responsible for accurate and timely 13 week rolling cashflow forecasting, identifying weekly variances across the EMEA.

  • Development of the cost centre overhead reporting across all entities, with explanation and deeper accountability of variance budget to forecast, and internal expenditure.

  • Support with the reporting of overseas Tax compliance/VAT

The role will need you to be adaptable and happy to work as a team at Board level, you will also be knowledgeable in forecasting and consolidation work, as well as have some audit experience and statutory reporting experience. It is essential the candidate is qualified within ACA/ACCA qualification and preferably with 1-2 PQE experience, preferably with international exposure.
