Your new companyJoin a Burnley-based business as a Management Accountant as part of their growing Group Finance team, working full-time on-site. They are eager to find an experienced Management Accountant who can add value in a period of change, where the business has seen acquisitions in recent months with more to come as it continues to expand.Your new roleAs a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and calculating month-end journals, including prepayments, accruals, and deferred income. You will prepare management accounts for several limited companies within the group, complete the full month-end routine, and reconcile all balance sheet nominals. Your role will also involve capitalising assets, running depreciation, and ensuring strong attention to detail in reconciling multiple sources of information. You will identify and implement improvements to drive efficiency in the month-end process, manage extensive inter-company transactions and reconciliations, assist with the group VAT return and payment process, and support senior leadership with various ad-hoc projects. What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will either hold a finance qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or be Qualified by Experience (QBE) / Part-Qualifed. You should have strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise workload, and work to deadlines. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office are essential. Experience using Sage Line 50 is preferred. You will have at least 3 years of experience producing management accounts.
