Due to growth and an ever-increasing order book, we are looking to strengthen our Finance team with the addition of a Management Accountant.

This is a permanent position based at our site in Burnley, and we are looking to start the successful applicant as soon as possible.
Core Responsibilities
- Preparing Management Accounts within a pre-defined format
- Analysis and reconciliations, for detailed review by Financial Director.
- Preparation of consolidated management accounts of business unit.
- Preparation of annual Statutory Accounts to draft stage.
- Assisting with the preparation of business forecasts and variance reporting against them
- Assisting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts
- Reviewing trial balance and reconciliation
- Preparing and submitting the VAT return
- Processing of weekly and monthly payroll for submission to HO for payroll processing and reconciliation of all reports and preparation of journals.
- Reconciliation of payroll control accounts and making payments to HMRC
- Preparation of monthly reports to Head Office.
- Entering receipts/payments and carry out bank reconciliations.
- Ensuring that the customers pay on time via planned debt recovery and prompt dealing with queries received.
- Weekly reporting of debtors to management.
- Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts at year end.
Person Specification
- Financial qualifications such as CIMA or ACCA is advantageous but not essential and would be considered against the salary
- AAT Qualifications are essential
- Experience in finance orientated roles
- Exposure to Payroll, preparing Accounts and reporting
- IT literate with the ability to provide detailed financial reports
- Attention to detail with the ability to work to strict deadline
