A well-established chartered firm of accountants in Burnley is seeking a Senior Accountant.
The role involves managing a portfolio of clients, preparing statutory and management accounts, and assisting with bookkeeping and tax returns.
Candidates should be AAT, ACA, or ACCA qualified with experience in an accountancy firm and knowledge of accounting software like Xero and QuickBooks.
The position offers a salary ranging from £35,000 to £45,000, along with benefits such as 23 days annual leave, flexible working hours, and a health scheme.
Applicants should ideally have experience as a Senior Accountant and possess good general accounting knowledge.

Fantastic opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join a well-established, independent, chartered firm of Accountants based in Burnley.This firm offer a range of services to their clients, including accounting, audit, tax, and outsourcing. You will have the opportunity to command your own portfolio of clients and be responsible for client contact for your portfolio.As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:

Managing your own portfolio of clients
Preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
Preparation of management accounts.
Assisting with bookkeeping and VAT.
Preparation of Personal Tax and Corporate Tax returns.
Supporting junior members of the team.

To qualify for the Senior Accountant role, ideally you will meet the below:

AAT, ACA, or ACCA qualified
Experience working as a Senior Accountant in an Accountancy firm.
Has experience with accounting software, including cloud-based accounting platforms and add-ons, including Xero and QuickBooks, and is proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Has good general accounting knowledge, particularly the requirements of FR102A, employment taxes, and VAT. Knowledge of CIS would be advantageous due to the nature of our client base, but not required
