RG Consultancy are working closely with an excellent engineering company based in Burnley, Lancashire who are looking for an ambitious accounts assistant to join them on a full time permanent basis. The company are a small-medium size turnover and this role would suit someone who is keen to learn and develop. This role is reporting into the financial director and will join a team of 4 within the department (including this position)

Duties include:

  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Matching and coding invoices
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Credit card reconciliations
  • Chasing debt via email, letter and telephone
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assist with accruals and prepayments
  • Assist with the preparation of management accounts
  • Other adhoc duties within the finance team

Skills:

  • Strong IT skills are required for this role
  • Basic MS Excel skills would be an advantage
  • Ambitious, keen to develop within accounts
