Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Location: Chorley, Lancashire

Pay Bracket: £27,000 - £31,000 + Benefits.

We are recruiting for a business in Burnley who are looking to add to their existing finance team by hiring an experience Accounts Assistant.

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a business with excellent working culture and exposure opportunities. Directly working the existing accounts team and the FD, this role's mission is to deliver consistent and accurate accounts. This is a hands-on role where you will need to be able to perform across a spectrum.

Your main roles and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the daily banking - cheques / cash / BACS
  • Responsible for the accurate allocation of all customer receipts
  • Support the credit controller.
  • Responsible for dealing with the purchase invoices.
  • VAT process
  • Processing supplier queries
  • General admin duties and other ad-hoc duties

The ideal candidate will have:

  • For success it's vital that the candidate has a strong knowledge of transactional duties and some exposure to supervising.
  • Previous Sales ledger and Purchase ledger experience
  • Cash handling experience
  • Experience using Excel is key.
  • Must be willing to travel to Chorley on a regular basis.
