An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant in Burnley within a Market Leading business. You will be supporting the Finance Manager in the recording of all day to day transactions and month end reporting duties.
What you'll do:
- Support the Accountant/Accounts function in all aspects of the department
- Handle general accounts administration such as dealing with correspondents, filing, and updating records
- Manage Balance Sheet Controls
- Oversee Credit Control operations
- Perform account reconciliations regularly
- Work towards continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
What you'll bring:
- Proven background in accounts with a good understanding of the role
- Experience working within the motor trade would be beneficial but not essential
- AAT qualification would be preferable but not essential
- Enthusiastic and meticulous approach to work
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with colleagues and clients
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
