Role Objective:
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment to produce semi-finished products, ensuring quality standards and meeting production targets in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Equipment Operation:
- Operate production machinery, such as saws and conveyors, following standard procedures to meet production goals.
- Perform in-process inspections to ensure product quality.
- Maintenance:
- Conduct daily maintenance checks and report equipment performance.
- Health & Safety:
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Report safety incidents and support safety initiatives.
- Problem Solving & Improvement:
- Assist in resolving production issues and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production and quality objectives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
- Attention to detail and adherence to standard processes.
- Capable of multi-tasking and working in a team environment.
- Education:Minimum of basic vocational qualifications or equivalent.
- Experience:Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, with knowledge of production processes.
- Experience with equipment maintenance and Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM).
- Familiarity with performance measurement tools like OEE.
- Ability to assist in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy and product quality.
- Communication: Clear and effective interaction with team members.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively to achieve goals.
- Problem Solving: Assist in resolving production issues and improving processes.

Salary: £11.66 + shift allowance
