Main Purpose of the Role: Manage the department to ensure all site maintenance tasks are completed while also managing staff development and maintaining records.

Days: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (must be available to work weekends when required and may be required to be on call for any breakdowns on shifts)

Key Tasks:- Responsible for the maintenance of equipment and plant machinery across three sites.- Delegate work to staff daily, including organising responses to breakdowns, conducting fault diagnosis, and repairing equipment.- Cover all shift patterns.- Monitor preventative maintenance programs for all sites.- Work closely with all departments to ensure equipment is repaired promptly to minimize disruption to production schedules.- Maintain records for all site inspections, including insurance, power press, electrical, and gas regulatory requirements.- Responsible for training, appraisals, and progression of staff and new trainees.- Ensure health and safety requirements are met within the department, adhering to current HSE guidelines.- Ensure PPE is in place at all times and supervise all departmental staff.- Work with external contractors, providing direction, supervision, and organizing RAMS.- Collaborate with staff to establish procedures, quality standards, and KPI compliance.- Procure consumables within the department.- Manage and control departmental expenditure, reporting to director level.- Implement a continual improvement policy in accordance with current ISO standards.- Be on call for maintenance issues at the director’s request.- Perform any other reasonable business tasks as requested.
