Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Governance Officer for a client based in Burnley.

In this role, you will provide governance support by coordinating Board and Committee meetings, maintaining key records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and delivering high-quality administrative support.

Key Duties:

  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, distribute papers, and manage attendance.
  • Accurately take minutes, maintain governance registers, and ensure compliance.
  • Assist with Board member processes, respond to governance queries, and coordinate internal audits.
  • Support governance projects, maintain documentation, and promote best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Experience in board and committee administration, including meeting coordination and agenda preparation.
  • Proven ability to take accurate minutes and maintain governance registers.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure compliance.
  • Experience supporting internal audits and understanding governance within housing, healthcare, or social care.

What's on offer:

Salary: £28,000-£35,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week
