Your new companyI am working with a thriving manufacturing company based in Burnley who are now looking to appoint an experienced Credit Controller to join their team on a permanent and full-time basis. This is a newly created role, following the acquisition of another business.Your new roleAs a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing the company's credit policies and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding debts. This involves assessing the creditworthiness of new and existing customers, monitoring customer accounts, and implementing effective debt recovery procedures. You will maintain accurate financial records and foster strong relationships with customers, playing a crucial role in supporting the company's financial health and stability. Key responsibilities include credit control responsibility for multiple ledgers, following up on overdue invoices, evaluating new credit requests, negotiating payment plans, ensuring timely payments, preparing regular reports, analysing aged debt reports, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, handling customer queries, posting receipts, generating reminder letters, and resolving non-paid invoices.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will need proven experience in credit control, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Self-motivation with a positive attitude, good organisational skills, proficiency in using Sage 50 software, and experience in Microsoft Excel would be advantageous.
