PMLD Teaching Assistant - Burnley:

Prospero Teaching are recruiting for a teaching assistant with experience supporting complex needs to join a school near to Burnley. This is a full time, long-term position to start after the February half-term.

Although experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting is preferred, any personal or professional experience supporting complex needs is what actually matters for this role.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils 1-1 and in small groups
  • Administering personal care
  • Providing a supportive and nurturing learning environment

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

  • Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
  • Level 2 qualification in relevant field
  • Personal or professional experience supporting children with complex needs

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references
