You will be involved in projects that focus on optimizing existing BMS control strategies, upgrading outdated BMS controls and their associated network infrastructure, and integrating, controlling, and monitoring low-carbon solutions such as Solar PV systems, heat pumps, and hydronic system optimization.

The role:

  • As a BMS engineer you will work closely with the team on all aspects of the BMS energy savings initiatives with a key focus on project implementation
  • Conducting thorough surveys of BMS and controlled HVAC equipment to assist in the identification of BMS and HVAC energy conservation initiatives
  • Assessing the performance of BMS control strategies by examining strategy drawings, O&M documentation, and observed operating conditions
  • Working closely with sub-contractors to design BMS energy saving initiatives
  • Supporting the commissioning, testing and handover of delivered BMS energy savings initiatives

The person:

  • Experience integrating HVAC plant into BMS with a good working knowledge of common high-level networks such as BACnet, Modbus, MBus
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of BMS and HVAC control strategy design and operations
  • Experience delivering BMS projects through the BMS sub-contractor supply chain
