Axon Moore are exclusively partnering with a well established Supply Chain/Logistics client based to the East of Burnley to source a high calibre Finance Director to lead the business alongside an industry recognised Group CEO and Group CFO. As FD, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, including financial planning, influencing EBITDA growth, financial reporting, and ensuring the company’s overall strategy supports its long-term goals and growth ambitions.Key Responsibilities as FD:• Lead the company’s financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to align with business objectives and long-term growth plans.• Work closely with the senior leadership team to develop and execute the company’s strategic plans, ensuring financial resources are effectively allocated.• Analyse operational costs, identify areas for efficiency improvements, and work with both sales and operations departments to drive cost-saving initiatives while maximising profitability.• Manage and mentor the finance team, providing guidance, professional development, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.• Evaluate potential M&A opportunities including full integration of newly acquired businesses.• Manage all external relationships for the business inclusive of Banks, Auditors etc.• Working closely with the sales and operational teams.Key Requirements:• Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) • Experience within manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or similar is highly desirable• Exposure to leading a team, including management, mentoring and development• Strong commercial acumen, ability to influence strategic decision making The fantastic opportunity is highly visible across the group therefore it requires a strategic leader who is a data/KPI focused who is looking to add value.
