If so and you're looking in the Burnley area, we would love to hear from you!We are seeking a school business manager to join the senior leadership team of this education setting in Burnley and support the headteacher and other senior leaders in ensuring the smooth and successful running of this school. You will be responsible for the strategic planning and take the lead in all areas within finance.
This is a part time temporary role for at least 8 weeks to begin after the Easter break.You will have a relevant qualification in finance or business management or equivalent experience in a similar role, and you will also have strong experience of working with SIMS FMS. You will also have excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. You will have the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including staff, parents, pupils, governors, and external agencies. This job role may include but not be limited to:
- Budget Management: Lead on budget planning, forecasting, and monitoring to ensure financial stability and support the school's strategic objectives.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed financial reports for the senior leadership team, governing body, and external agencies, providing insights and recommendations.
- Income Generation: Assist with income generation activities, including preparing and submitting bids for funding from external sources.
- Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies, including data protection and GDPR.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the school can meet its financial obligations.
Experience required
- Experience of working in a school environment with the use of SIMS FMS.
- Experience of contributing at a strategic level within the senior management/leadership team of an organisation
- Experience of leading, managing, and motivating staff.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage competing deadlines.
- Flexibility and willingness to be adaptable.
