Main function is to perform the administration duties and assist the Shipping Co-Ordinator on all projects to ensure the Shipping Team complete smooth execution of Freight via various methods worldwide.
Main Responsibilities:Preparing Commercial Invoices & Packing Lists for shipments (Sea Freight, Air Freight, Road Freight, Courier)
Place bookings with Freight Forwarders for Air, Sea & Road Shipments
Manage the Import Procedure for all incoming orders into the UK
Raise Purchase Orders for all Freight / Logistics services
Liaising with relevant departments (Supply Chain, Workshop, Mobilisation, Projects)
General administration to include filing / photocopying & scanning / archiving / creating new folders electronically
Liaising with internal customers on status updates of shipments, internal task management system
Requirements:
Good general education including GCSE in Maths & English grade A-C.
Administration experience is essential
Knowledge of Shipping / Logistics - desirable
Understanding of UK import procedures - desirable
Excellent communication & organizational skills
Excel Essential
SAP Desirable
