Our client, a leading company in the FMCG manufacturing sector, is looking for a dedicated Health, Safety, and Environmental (SHE) Manager to join their team based in Burnley. This is a key position in shaping and improving the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) culture. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and relevant legislation, while also driving sustainability initiatives.

In this Burnley-based role, you will work closely with all levels of staff and contractors to promote best practices and a proactive safety culture across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain HSE documentation and systems in line with ISO standards and legal requirements.
  • Conduct and oversee risk assessments and develop Safe Systems of Work to ensure compliance with HSE legislation.
  • Provide support during audits and collaborate with management to drive continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Deliver internal HSE training, including employee inductions, and foster a strong safety culture on-site.
  • Investigate and report on incidents and accidents, ensuring that corrective actions are taken to prevent future occurrences.
  • Track and report on safety performance, identifying key areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with HR on health and wellbeing initiatives to support staff across the site.
  • Lead the delivery of the annual Health & Safety Plan, working to improve safety performance year-on-year.
  • Contribute to the company's environmental sustainability goals, driving initiatives to meet targets.

What We're Looking For:

  • NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) is essential, with a Diploma being highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing FMCG industries is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 systems and compliance requirements.
