We are looking for a Health, Safety and Environmental Coordinator to join our client and assist the HSE manager in ensuring a safe and legal working environment for all employees. You will assist, advise and report to the HSE manager on all aspects of HSE policy and procedures, ensuring that the company’s HSE policy is applied effectively.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Carry out HSE audits and advise on appropriate changes
  • Risk assessments on new processes, implement any actions required
  • Review COSHH assessments on new processes
  • Coordinate safe practices at all times
  • Oversee the contractor on site process including the provision of correct paperwork before entrance to site
  • Investigate accidents and near misses, implementing any prevention measures required
  • Obtain and update all H&S datasheets for products used in the workplace and on site
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of HSE legislation
  • Advise on HSE standards and inform of specific hazards in relation to chemicals
  • Audit work equipment and carry out safety checks
  • Be fully aware of company policies and procedures, adhere to company guidelines in regards to H&S at all times
  • Actively support the Integrated Management System by applying and actioning all policies, procedures and processes
  • Control costs and monitor expenses

What We’re Looking For:

  • A keen attitude to learn and develop
  • Previous experience in a similar HSE based role
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen willingness to learn
  • Office-based work experience
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability
  • A professional, confident, and diplomatic approach to communication
  • NEBOSH General certificate - Essential
  • IOSH membership - Essential
