PMLD Teaching Assistant

PMLD Teaching Assistant - Burnley:

Prospero Teaching are looking for a caring and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support children with PMLD at a lovely school near Burnley.

Role Responsibilities:

• Assisting with personal care
• Working with challenging behaviours
• Building rapport with parents and staff

Position Details:

• Location: Burnley
• Position: PMLD Teaching Assistant
• Hours: 8:30am-3:15pm (during term time only)
• Minimum rate of pay: 85 per day, depending on experience
• Type of Work: Temporary
• Full time/Part time: Full time only
• Start date: Jan 2025
• End date: Ongoing

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

• Relevant experience working with children
• Up to date safeguarding training within the last year (desirable but training can be provided)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold right to work in the UK

Hold and enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application

Provide two professional child related references
