An opportunity has arisen for a mechanically-biased Maintenance Engineer on permanent nights to join a leading manufacturing organisation who are known worldwide. The Maintenance Engineer role is commutable from the following locations: Blackburn / Burnley / Preston.

The Maintenance Engineer will be required to work the following Shift: Permanent Nights: Monday to Thursday 22:00pm till 07:30am

Key Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer:

  • Apprentice trained, Holding formal qualifications in Mechanical engineering.
  • Experience with CNC Machinery and Conventional machines.
  • Experienced with: Hydraulics & Pneumatics, Gearboxes, Conveyor systems,
  • Holding a Slight Electrical ability would be at an advantage.
  • Welding and Fabrication skills would be at an advantage.
  • Basic Machining experience.
  • Experienced within a FMCG / Manufacturing environment.

Key Duties for the Maintenance Engineer:

  • Perform Planned and preventative maintenance.
  • Support your team and functions throughout the plant.
  • Liaise with coordinator to establish requirements.
  • Assessing each job and the need for spare parts
  • Self-development activities
  • Maintain high quality Mechanical machinery, repairs and maintenance to machinery and site.
