Position : Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location : Burnley, Lancashire

Sector : Food manufacturing, FMCG

Shift Pattern : 4 on, 4 off. 2 weeks of days, 2 weeks of nights. 12 hour shifts

Salary : £53,000 pa

About the role :

Working as part of a dedicated, multi-skilled engineering maintenance team you will provide reactive and planned maintenance to a busy food manufacturing organisation.

About You :

  • Mechanical or Electrical bias with competencies in both disciplines (60/40 or 70/30)
  • Formal qualification in engineering (electrical or mechanical), ideally to HNC level (NVQ3, City and Guilds 3 also acceptable)
  • Apprentice trained preferred
  • An understanding of control systems and PLCs is preferred
  • Experience of food manufacturing or FMCG is essential
  • Food Safety Level 2 and HACCP Level 2
  • Experience and understanding of GMP standards
  • First Aid trained beneficial
  • Proficient with CMMS
  • IOSH beneficial
  • Experience of engineering projects beneficial
  • Team player
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • Any exposure to predictive maintenance, condition monitoring or reliability engineering would be beneficial
