We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Ecommerce Executive to join us at The Original Factory Shop to assist us in our continuing digital transformation. This role is ideally suited to someone with experience selling online, but who is looking for an opportunity to learn and gain extra skills, whilst being driven and self-motivated.

As our Ecommerce Executive you will primarily be responsible for online merchandising and keeping our web platforms up-to- date and working correctly. You will also be a key member of the team when it comes to monitoring and improving key ecommerce metrics. We are a small but growing close-knit team within a larger organisation and the ideal candidate will be a strong team player.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the commercial teams to ensure all product ranges are available to our customer, with the right product descriptions, images and body copy to promote the product and drive add-to-basket
  • Timely planning and execution of the activity plan, including onsite campaigns, promotions, product launches, marketing campaigns and seasonal activity
  • Assist with trading the website by proposing and implementing reactive activity when required
  • Assist with the testing of new website features or improvements for a seamless online user journey
  • Work with suppliers to coordinate rebrands as well as product and category changes
  • Monitor competitor activity and recommend improvements to the website content
  • Maintain product, category and tagging updates required to support the website’s SEO strategy
  • Provide the focal point and communication link between the Category Buying team, Merchandise team and the Online Channel and Marketing teams
  • Responsible for sales growth using analytics to optimise the site and drive web traffic
  • Ensure online activity is in-line with overall brand and marketing strategy
  • Troubleshoot website issues, liaising with internal stakeholders & agency partners.
  • Continually transform your own work processes to improve efficiency & quality of work
  • Managing product & images uploads
  • Updating website content via the Shopify platform/CMS
  • Help identify opportunities to improve website performance & conversion to improve sales performance
  • Provide adhoc, administrative support to the Digital team
  • Support A/B testing of on-site performance strategies
  • Weekly & monthly reporting for trade analysis across e-Commerce KPI’s.
  • Boost, pin and bury products depending on newness and promotional activity
  • Regular QC of all links and taxonomy
  • Regular QC of products ensuring copy, titles and imagery are correct

Skills / Experience:

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience preferred
  • Web/Digital merchandising expertise in a retail environment
  • Experience of online merchandising, including the impact it has on trading
  • Experience of managing E-Commerce platforms and CMS – Shopify preferred 
  • Good commercial acumen and mindset
  • Analytical thinker and technical
  • Ability to interpret site data and metrics
  • Good MS Excel skills, including working with importing & exporting product data in bulk
  • Strong understand of and interest in ecommerce tools including Google Analytics
  • Excellent oral, verbal and written communication skills
  • Quick learner and can-do attitude to finding solutions
  • Passionate and collaborative, hands on team player
