Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: BurnleySalary: Competitive (dependent on experience) + Shift AllowancesHours: Full-Time (38 hours per week, various shifts)Shifts: Day, Twilight - Monday to Friday

The Role:We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (MME) to join our client's dynamic maintenance team. The role involves ensuring the smooth operation of machinery across the site through installation, repairs, and maintenance. You will be responsible for minimising production downtime, troubleshooting, and contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and equipment.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Fault finding during production processes.
- Performing planned and predictive maintenance.
- Assessing and managing spare parts inventory.
- Prioritising and effectively managing your workload.
- Adhering to company policies, safety standards, and legal requirements.
- Keeping accurate records and documentation.
- Contributing to process improvements and maintaining housekeeping standards.
- Supporting and mentoring apprentices.
The ideal candidate is a motivated problem-solver with a strong work ethic and a passion for maintaining high standards. Key requirements for the role include:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or factory setting.
- Knowledge of factory equipment, including CNC machines, PLC AC drives, servo drives, and preventative maintenance.
- Basic electrical skills (multi-skilled).
- Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring equipment.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- A methodical approach to work and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to work across different shifts and sites.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A UK driving license.
