Our client, located near Burnley, is seeking to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer for a full-time position with a 40-hour work week.
This role involves the design and development of new products from concept to final approval, as well as providing technical support to customers and manufacturing teams.
The salary for this position ranges from £42,000 to £50,000, depending on skills and experience.
Candidates should have experience in mechanical engineering and product design, with knowledge of 3D CAD modeling systems and manufacturing processes.
An Engineering Degree, preferably in mechanical engineering, is desirable, along with previous experience in designing and manufacturing pressure equipment.

Our client, based near Burnley is looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer.

The Role:

Design and development of new products, from concept to final approval. Technically support customers and the manufacturing base. Analyse existing products and identify areas to improve product design and reduce costs.

Permanent, Full time

40 hours per week.
Day shift.
Salary is between £42,000 - £50,000 depending on skills / experience.

Company software requirements are:

Microsoft Office – Standard.
Lotus Mainframe
CREO (desired)
MathCAD (desired)
PV Elite (desired)
Magma (highly desirable)

Knowledge/Experience:

Fundamental engineering theory in mechanical engineering and product design.
Knowledge of 3D CAD modelling systems.
Knowledge and experience of Pro-Engineer and MathCad.
Manufacturing processes and assembly.
Experience in a similar background.
Experience designing / manufacturing pressure equipment to the recognised standards.
Previous experience dealing directly with customers, preparing technical specifications and presenting proposals

Qualifications:
An Engineering Degree, ideally mechanical is desirable.
