About the Role:
As a Nuclear Inspector, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality of incoming materials, parts, components, and finished products. You will perform inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures, including NDE within your qualified scope, and meticulously document your findings. This role requires close collaboration with internal and external customers and adherence to stringent company procedures, Nuclear Standards, and Regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect purchased parts, subassemblies, and finished products using standard physical, mechanical, and/or electrical measurements.
Coordinate inspection activities and manage related project inspection functions.
Enforce safety and quality requirements.
Rework or reject subassemblies or finished products as needed.
Accurately document inspection and testing results.
Maintain controlled document files and test records.
Coordinate calibration of test equipment and fixtures.
Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation.
Participate in the creation and revision of inspection procedures.
Assist in writing and updating inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists.
Evaluate problems and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with project engineers and Quality Assurance to resolve issues.
Review history records and other documentation for compliance.
Attend meetings as directed.
Engage in ongoing training and professional development.
Perform other duties as required for the efficient operation of the company.
Stay conversant with inspection techniques and evaluate the latest equipment and techniques.

Essential Skills & Experience:
Ability to read engineering drawings and quality plans.
Proficiency in using a wide range of inspection equipment (micrometers, verniers, etc.).
Experience in detailed inspection of precision components and fabrications.
Strong organizational skills, record-keeping abilities, and ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to work accurately and to tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently and solve problems within established guidelines.
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Ability to promote the company in a positive manner.
Experience in all inspection functions and activities.
Experience operating computer equipment for data processing.
Working knowledge of measurement instruments.
Solid technical understanding.
Knowledge of ISO9001.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
Experience in inspection within the nuclear industry.
Knowledge of ASME PED.
Background in Quality Engineering.
Understanding of Manufacturing Methods and Procedures.
Experience supporting innovation and promoting process improvement.
