Reed Education/Lancashire Teaching Agency are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to a Primary School in The Ribble Valley. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about contributing to the development and education of children. The position is expected to start Spring Term 2025 and is expected to run for the academic year.

The role is required for 5 mornings per week from 08:30 – 12:30. (There is flexibility for afternoons and possibly a full day every Thursday)

The ideal candidate MUST be experienced in EYFS but also in other year groups.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of daily lessons.
  • Provide support to individual students or small groups to help them understand the material and complete their tasks.
  • Work under the guidance of the class teacher to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help manage classroom resources and setup for activities.
  • Supervise students during non-classroom times including lunch and recess as needed.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and recording of student progress.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must hold a Level 2 or a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in a similar role within a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with children.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A commitment to professional growth and development.
