We are looking for a motivated production supervisor to join a market leading food manufacturing company. Reporting directly to the shift manager you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of staff. The position will appeal to a strong team leader looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

Role Description

Ensuring adherence to production plans- taking into consideration of completion of customers' orders in full and on time daily/ weekly basis.

Optimise resources within the bakery, moving staff around where needed to ensure best use of staff, skills and machines are used, utilising both to be as efficient as possible within your remit.

Ensure accurate completion of paperwork from factory staff and team leaders.

Ensure OEE is recorded daily, reporting on OEE on the handover daily, reviewing the results and continuously looking of ways to improve the OEE performance.

Identify any problems with product, processes, staff, equipment, or machinery that may have an impact on production, end product quality or staff wellbeing, action or seek advice/ help.

Ensure Health & Safety guidelines are followed - supervisor must take necessary action to reduce accidents, near misses and potential hazards. Ensure all machines have the relevant safety guards on and if known to have a safety issue do not use.

Liaise with engineers on machine faults or break downs, plant performance.

Strive to overcome any difficulties within the team or with individuals and with process and products.

Communication to team leaders throughout the shift looking at any issues that have arose, discussing and planning solutions with production manager/shift manager.

Communicating the company smart targets and striving to achieve them on the required basis.

Keeping your team motivated and focused on Company vision and goals- Constantly striving to promote and achieve the company targets and goals

Work with managers to implement changes, company procedures and policies. Liaise with all departments on best practise, ideas, issues and suggestions.

Ensure all staff are adhering to the company hygiene policy and procedure.

Ensure all staff abides to food safety procedures.

Strive to produce the good quality product at all times and in line with customer requirements and company specifications.

Work with the training officer to ensure that all SOP are updated and are trained out to relevant staff.

Daily toolbox meeting with managers and engineer and team leaders.

Update communication board when applicable

Question the way we work and our process on a regular, identifying any improvements
