Our reputable agency is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Design and Technology Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Burnley. As a full-time position, you will have the chance to make a significant impact on the learning journey of young minds, starting from September.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality and engaging Design and Technology lessons to secondary school students.
  • Teach various aspects of Design Technology, including but not limited to graphics, product design, textiles, and resistant materials.
  • Develop and implement creative lesson plans, catering to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and student collaboration.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and any concerns.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Design and Technology curriculum.
  • Stay updated with the latest educational trends and advancements in the field of Design and Technology.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, specializing in Design and Technology.
  • Experience teaching Design and Technology to secondary school students, preferably within the UK education system.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a deep understanding of the Design Technology curriculum.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively plan and deliver lessons.
  • A collaborative and adaptable approach, fostering positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
