Rotherwood Education are seeking a qualified English Teacher for a part time, permanent role in a Loca College within the Lancashire rea.This is an exciting opportunity for any English Teacher, with NQTs welcome to apply.

Highlights of this position:

This role will commence as soon as possible and is a permanent post

Teaching KS4&KS5

Differentiating lessons for students, tracking and assessing pupils

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience of teaching English up to A Level

PGCE or QTLS English or equivalent

Be motivated, energetic and passionate about the development of young people

Have strong subject knowledge

Responsibilities as a English Teacher will include:

Prepare and deliver English lessons to a range of classes of different ages and abilities

Assess and mark work, give appropriate feedback

Complete and maintain records of pupils' progress and development

Prepare pupils for qualifications and external examinations

Manage pupil behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, and apply appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehaviour

Undertake pastoral duties, supporting pupils on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties. Undertake the role of form tutor

Communicate with parents and carers over pupils' progress and participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole-school training events
