About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join our high-performing school in Burnley for the Summer Term, with the potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator to make a lasting impact on our students as they prepare for their transition to secondary school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons to Year 6 students across the curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and focused classroom environment that promotes high standards of behaviour and academic achievement.
  • Prepare students for end-of-year assessments, ensuring they reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with other staff to share best practices and contribute to the development of the school.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in Key Stage 2.
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons and achieving excellent outcomes.
  • Strong classroom management skills with a high standard of behaviour expectations.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to raising standards.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and take on additional responsibilities as required.
