The Role:As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant for KS2, you will play a key role in supporting teachers and students across the curriculum. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of engaging lessons for children in Years 3-6
  • Providing targeted support for individual students, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress, contributing to reports and IEPs (Individual Education Plans)
  • Leading small groups and providing intervention to help children reach their learning goals
  • Supporting the teacher in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Building strong relationships with students, staff, and parents

The Ideal Candidate:We are looking for a motivated and proactive individual who has:

  • A recognised Higher-Level Teaching Assistant qualification (HLTA or equivalent)
  • Experience working with KS2 children, particularly in a classroom or support role
  • A strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum, assessment methods, and SEN provision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • A positive and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's learning
