We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive and enthusiastic team in Burnley. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting teachers and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality support to teachers in delivering lessons across the curriculum.
  • Lead small group and one-to-one interventions to support individual learning needs.
  • Assist with planning and preparation of classroom activities and resources.
  • Supervise and manage students to ensure their safety and well-being during lessons and breaks.
  • Help assess and track pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) as required.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to create an inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Level 4 qualification in Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or equivalent.
  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role (preferably in a school setting).
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and how to support student learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
