Learning Support Assistant - Burnley

We are currently looking for a Learning Support Assistant to deliver person centred support to individuals who present high levels of complex needs and challenging behaviours associated with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions and mental health problems. You will be working with children and young people who need 1:1 support for multiple reasons, such as:

Children in Looked After CareAnxietyExclusionSpeech and language difficultiesPhysical and mental health issues, disabilities and learning difficulties

  • Minimum Pay Rate: £120/day
  • Contract Type: Temp-Perm
  • Start Date: 06/1/2025
  • Duration: On-going
  • Type of Work: Supporting learning of pupils with additional needs.

The successful candidate will have:

Some experience working with children and young people who display challenging behaviourExperience of de-escalation training would be advantageousThe school would also consider candidates from youth work backgrounds, or similar roles
