SEN Teaching Assistant

- Job Type: Full-time (Starting 21st April 2025)
- Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join an SEN unit within a mainstream school. This role is ideal for someone who has experience working with EYFS children and children with complex needs.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Support EYFS children and those with complex needs within a mainstream school setting.
- Assist in the development and implementation of educational programs and behavioural plans.
- Work closely with teachers and other staff to promote an inclusive environment.
- Provide one-on-one support and group support within the classroom.
- Help with the preparation of materials and equipment for lessons and activities.
- Monitor and support the progress of children, reporting back to teachers and parents as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must be Level 2 qualified in a relevant field.
- Proven experience working with EYFS children and children with complex needs.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by children with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Patience, empathy, and a dedicated approach to supporting children’s learning and development.
