Applause IT are looking for a 1st Line Support Engineer to join the IT team of a dynamic organisation. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to be at the forefront of IT support, ensuring the smooth operation of IT services across the business.

As the 1st Line Support Engineer, you will be the face of the IT department, delivering rapid and effective support across various sites. Your role will be crucial in maintaining operational excellence, providing solutions to support requests via phone, email, and in person.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to service requests promptly, providing courteous and effective support.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues efficiently, documenting solutions for future reference.
  • Configure and install hardware and software, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Support the disposal of legacy hardware in compliance with WEEE directives.
  • Communicate effectively with employees at all levels, tailoring technical language for diverse audiences.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Knowledge of Windows 10 and Office 365 Administration.
  • Previous experience in 1st line support, preferably in office and warehouse environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Full driver's licence and access to own transport for multi-site support.
