The Role:
We are looking for Cover Supervisors to join our pool of education professionals in the Burnley area. These roles offer a great opportunity to work across various secondary schools on both an ad-hoc and long-term basis, covering for absent teachers and ensuring the smooth running of lessons. You will be responsible for supervising students, ensuring they remain on task, and providing support as necessary. This is an ideal role for individuals with a passion for education and those looking for flexibility in their work.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher
Ensuring students are following the lesson plans and completing assigned tasks
Maintaining classroom discipline and creating a positive learning environment
Supporting students with any queries or learning needs during the lesson
Reporting any incidents or concerns to school staff as required
Essential Criteria:
Previous experience working with young people (e.g., in a classroom or youth setting)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to manage classroom behaviour
Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to adapt to different school environments
A genuine interest in supporting students' learning and development
