THE BUSINESS
Westray Recruitment Group is working with a prestigious client based in Hobson Industrial Estate, NE16. The company specialises in providing bespoke fabrication solutions for the Oil, Gas and Civil industries, with expertise in heavy-light engineering and working with materials such as Carbon, Stainless, and Exotic steels. The business invests in its staff and offers opportunities for long-term employment and professional growth.

THE ROLE
As a Plater, you will be responsible for:

Performing high-quality plating and fabrication work on various materials
Working from technical drawings and specifications to meet customer requirements
Collaborating with the welding team to ensure accurate assembly and alignment of fabricated components
Maintaining a safe and clean working environment, adhering to safety protocols
Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards and within agreed timelines

THE PERSON

Previous experience in plating, preferably within the engineering or fabrication sector
Ability to read and work from technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Knowledge of health and safety practices in a fabrication setting
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

THE PACKAGE

£16 per hour
Overtime at 1.5x after 40 hours
Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am – 4:30 pm
Friday: 7:30 am – 12:30 pm
Closed Saturday and Sunday
Opportunities for further training and apprenticeships in collaboration with a local college
