THE BUSINESS
Westray Recruitment Group is working with a prestigious client based in Hobson Industrial Estate, NE16. The company specialises in providing bespoke fabrication solutions for the Oil, Gas and Civil industries, with expertise in heavy-light engineering and working with materials such as Carbon, Stainless, and Exotic steels. The business invests in its staff and offers opportunities for long-term employment and professional growth.

THE ROLE
As a Plater, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing high-quality plating and fabrication work on various materials
  • Working from technical drawings and specifications to meet customer requirements
  • Collaborating with the welding team to ensure accurate assembly and alignment of fabricated components
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment, adhering to safety protocols
  • Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards and within agreed timelines

THE PERSON

  • Previous experience in plating, preferably within the engineering or fabrication sector
  • Ability to read and work from technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices in a fabrication setting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

THE PACKAGE

  • £16 per hour
  • Overtime at 1.5x after 40 hours
  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am – 4:30 pm
  • Friday: 7:30 am – 12:30 pm
  • Closed Saturday and Sunday
  • Opportunities for further training and apprenticeships in collaboration with a local college
