About the Role:We are looking for an ambitious and motivated individual to join my client in their Axminster office as a Trainee Chartered Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to develop a successful career in accountancy while working towards their ACA qualification. You will gain hands-on experience in a supportive and professional environment, working with a diverse range of clients across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and accounts for a variety of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

  • Supporting senior team members in providing tax compliance and advisory services.

  • Conducting audits and assurance work under the guidance of experienced professionals.

  • Preparing VAT returns and management accounts.

  • Liaising with clients to provide high-quality service and build strong professional relationships.

  • Keeping up to date with accounting and tax regulations through continued professional development.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree in a relevant subject (such as Accounting, Finance, or Business) is preferred but not essential. Alternatively, strong A-level results with a commitment to pursuing a career in accountancy.

  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.

  • A proactive approach to learning and professional development.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
