Job Role: Project Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Benefits Package
Location: Staffordshire Sites

Our client has sought a skilled and motivated Project Engineer or Contracts Engineer with an electrical bias to join their Delivery team across three key sites across Staffordshire.

About the Role:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to significant projects within the water sector, enhancing your technical and professional skills. You will collaborate with experienced industry professionals committed to delivering high-quality outcomes for Severn Trent Water.

You will:

  • Ensure project costs remain within budget and manage timely submissions of payment applications.
  • Assist in developing and monitoring contract programmes while coordinating with subcontractors.
  • Foster strong client relationships and collaborate with design teams to resolve procurement and design challenges.
  • Contribute to risk assessments, ensuring that designs are safe and meet quality standards.
  • Utilise MS Project to develop and update procurement and installation schedules, with training provided if needed.
  • Manage the preparation of O&M manuals and completion documentation.

About You:

  • Qualifications: Electrical Engineering background with a minimum of HNC qualification.
  • Proven experience in supply chain management within the water/wastewater sector.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety standards and CDM regulations.
  • Strong skills in communication and collaboration, fostering a positive team environment.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, capable of identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
