Join our highly successful client as a Quality Control Assistant, where you'll play a crucial role in their Quality and Environmental department. Based at our head office in Burntwood, you'll ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. Our client is committed to maintaining excellence in our fast-paced production environment.

  • Salary: £25,000 - £26,000 yearly

  • Quarterly bonus
  • 25 days holiday plus statutory
  • Working 8:45am 5:00pm Monday Thursday and finish at 4:30pm on a Friday.

The Role:

As a Quality Control Assistant, you will:

  • Conduct daily line-end inspection checks and record specific data.
  • Perform final inspections of factory-assembled products and train operators as needed.
  • Carry out daily glass, flexural, tensile, and impact testing.
  • Prepare customer samples for both home and export.
  • Build FAIRs units for testing and samples.
  • Evaluate new and alternative materials in the lab.
  • Conduct internal quality and environmental audits.
  • Manage returned goods notes and maintain glass test and usage records.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and adhere to company and regulatory standards.
  • Perform ad-hoc administrative duties as directed.

The Candidate:

For the role of Quality Control Assistant, we are looking for someone who:

  • Is proficient with measurement tools and understands quality control principles.
  • Can work unsupervised or as part of a team.
  • Has strong IT skills and can manage a diverse workload.
  • Is customer-focused with an ethical approach and is methodical and organised.
  • (Desirable) Holds a forklift truck licence and has experience with ISO 9001 and 14001 management systems.

The Package:

The Quality Control Assistant position offers an annual salary of £25,000 - £26,000. In addition to this, we provide free car parking, a quarterly bonus, and 25 days of holiday plus statutory. You'll be working 37 hours per week, from Monday to Thursday, 6.00am to 2.30pm, and Friday from 6.00am to 2.00pm.
