Logistics Administrator (Manufacturing)

Our client are a market leading Tier 1 Automotive manufacturer, they are seeking a logistics administrator with experience in a manufacturing environment to join their team. The company offer a great work environment and supply into a huge variety of automotive OEM’s

Key Responsibilities – Logistics Administrator (Manufacturing)

  • To receive schedule information from the customer and introduce into the system on a daily basis.
  • To interpret the schedule information from the customer and ensure that the system is updated accordingly
  • To progress logistics issues with appropriate departments to ensure that timely delivery to the customer is maintained.
  • To control/coordinate transport activities with customers and log any “special” vehicles.
  • To liaise with Projects Department to control prototype and trial parts requested by the customer.
  • Manage returnable packaging (repairs, shortages, loops etc).
  • Creation and management of catch back plans as a result of short shipments to customers.
  • To ensure all logistic activities are complete in readiness for launches of new product to ensure smooth introduction through the system.
  • Support the Logistics lead in developing and improving the customer logistics department (information flow etc)
  • Creation of shipment paperwork for all customers

Qualifications & Experience – Logistics Administrator (Manufacturing)

  • Numeracy
  • Fluent English speaker and literate in reading and writing English,
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office programmes, Baan system and EDI interfaces (training can be provided if no previous experience of Bann system)
