About the Role:

As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will be instrumental in ensuring that technical and food safety standards are upheld across the site. You will work closely with the operations team, conduct audits, and support investigations to ensure compliance with both customer and internal requirements. With ongoing training and development opportunities, this role is perfect for someone looking to develop their skills and make a tangible impact in the food manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and measure the delivery of technical and food safety standards across the site.
  • Ensure compliance with both customer and internal technical requirements.
  • Carry out monthly audits and investigations, and monitor environmental product micro and chemical programs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through trend analysis and corrective actions.
  • Manage technical documentation, ensuring it is up to date and easy to retrieve.
  • Assist in both internal and external audits, representing the technical function effectively.
  • Perform regular checks on raw materials, ensuring only approved suppliers and in-specification materials are received on-site.
  • Coach and train production operatives on the correct handling of raw materials.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Recent experience in a similar quality assurance role, preferably in an FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical and food safety knowledge.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to analyse data and support the formulation of action plans.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to coach and develop others.
