Electrical Project Engineer

Prime Appointments are currently working with a forward-thinking manufacturer that focuses on automation solutions who are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join their team based on the outskirts of Ipswich.

Reporting to the Managing Director you will play a critical role in the project delivery, ensuring smooth execution of procurement, financial control, design and site activities.

As an Electrical Project Engineer you will be required to:

• Provide technical input during the preparation of tender bids
• Ensure projects align with installation timelines, manage sub-contractors, and oversee site activities
• Oversee the design, coordination, and installation of electrical systems for designated projects
• Manage and execute commissioning activities
• Design, modify, and handle on-site adjustments to control panels
• Choose appropriate equipment and products, preparing detailed reports

Qualifications and experience required:

• ONC, HNC, HND, or degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
• Practical experience as an electrician or supervisor will also be considered
• Background in the food and beverage industries is desirable
