4 on 4 off stores role in this aircraft maintenance hanger. The opportunity is within an Aircraft MRO Organisation. You will assist with the daily operations of the business which includes handling, inspecting and logging aircraft parts, working efficiently within tight deadlines.

Please note that you need a valid driving license for this role, as you may be asked to drive company vehicles.

The duties of the Stores person include:

  • Distributing aircraft parts, consumables and tooling to the engineers.

  • Controlling the inventory, including monitoring the shelf life of items and whether tooling is due for calibration.

  • basic Inspection of a wide range of aircraft parts.

  • Ensuring that all dispatched items arrive safely to the correct location, paying attention to anything regarded as dangerous goods.

  • Controlling and then disposing of waste products.

  • Creating and maintaining any documentation and files.

  • Confirming that storage and material handling conditions concord with regulation standards.

  • Contributing towards any operational improvements, whilst maintain a tidy working environment.

You will likely have had previous experience within a similar aviation stores role, with an understanding of quality inspection and aerospace trace documentation. You will also need proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP software. A current counterbalance license is also desirable.
