MDE are recruiting for a Valve Technician based in Pembrokeshire. Our client is a well-established maintenance company. They support all industrial sectors through their onsite and workshop-based services, their client list includes some of the UK's best-known industrial brands.

Our client works closely with their clients to understand their KPIs and help them achieve operational goals by ensuring valve assets operate correctly, they help to deliver less waste, increase productivity and reduce operational expenditure through the maintenance of valves.

The Valve Technician position performs maintenance, assessment, repair, and testing on various types of industrial valves.

Job Details for Valve Techncian:

• WEEK 1 (Monday - Thursday 8am-5pm/ Friday 8am-4.30pm)
• WEEK 2 (Monday - Thursday 8am-5pm /Friday Off)
• Temp - Perm 13 weeks
• 30 minutes lunch unpaid with 10 minutes paid break in the morning
• PPE fully provided
• Holiday rises to 26 days when permanent
• Opportunity for overtime. 

Duties and Responsibilities for Valve Technician:

• Responsible for repair and testing of various valves, including but not limited to ball valves, gate valves, butterfly valves, safety relief valves, control valves etc.
• Perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, measuring, reassembly and testing of various valves at our Pembroke facilities (Occasionally Swansea) and client locations.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to valve maintenance and repair
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for valve repair
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings, schematics, and manuals and comply with company quality control procedures.
• Thoroughly complete all documentation associated with testing and repairs.
• Ability to travel to job sites and adhere to all site safety and performance requirements.
• Communicate timely updates to management, co-workers, and customers to ensure timely and successful completion of job responsibilities.
• Works closely with co-workers, management and QEHS Co-ordinator to ensure safety of themselves and that of others.
• Carry out transportation of valves to and from sites when required.

Qualifications & Experience required for Valve Technician:

Please note that our client is looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience. However, they are open to training a highly semi - skilled individual with mechanical engineering background.

• Good knowledge of valve types, components, and repair techniques
• NVQ / HNC in Mechanical Engineering (Desired but not essential if experience held of 3+ Years)
• Experience in Forklift Driving (If not - training will be provided)
• A Full UK Driving licence & Suitable Transport to get to and from work
• You must be punctual, self-motivated and willing to learn
• You must have Excellent Organisations skills with the attention to detail
• You must be able to work in a Team and sometimes alone
• You must be dedicated to learn new skills and attend regular training as requested by the company.
• Holder of a CCNSG Card (If not - training will be provided)
