About the Role:We are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Assistant on behalf of our client, a dynamic organisation based in Burton upon Trent. This hybrid role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work within a fast-paced finance team during an exciting time of process standardisation and system implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process invoices accurately and efficiently to ensure timely payments.
- Conduct monthly account reconciliations and resolve/escalate queries as required.
- Monitor aged items and debit balances, taking proactive measures for resolution.
- Support the annual audit process by providing required documentation and assistance.
- Contribute to process improvements, including automation, to drive efficiency.
- Assist with payment runs, ensuring all due invoices are included.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance processes and key performance metrics.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience in an Accounts Payable role, with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 is beneficial).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive team player with self-motivation and the ability to manage workloads effectively.
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
