We are recruiting for a Temporary Advanced Nurse Prescriber. This role will be based in Burton upon Trent.

Job Title: Advanced Nurse Prescriber

Hours: 15 ( 2 days per week )

Location: Burton Upon Trent

Day Rate: Between £170 - £190 per day.

Job Type: Temporary ( 12 weeks approx )

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive Patient Assessments: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments of patients within a substance misuse setting, using evidence-based practices to evaluate individual needs and treatment requirements.

  • Medication Prescription & Clinical Management: Prescribe appropriate medications in accordance with national guidelines, ensuring optimal clinical outcomes while providing expert advice on medication management and patient care.

  • Collaborative Care: Work alongside multidisciplinary teams, including addiction specialists, healthcare providers, and support staff, to ensure integrated care for patients, promoting recovery and well-being.

  • Accurate Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring all prescribing activities and patient interactions are documented in line with clinical and legal standards.

  • Review & Monitor Prescribing Practices: Regularly review and monitor prescribing practices to ensure they comply with the latest national guidelines, regulations, and best practices, adjusting care plans where necessary.

  • Patient & Family Education: Provide education to patients and their families regarding prescribed medications, potential side effects, and the importance of medication adherence in the recovery process.
